David began his career in the insurance industry in 1986. After years of working for direct writers, David set out on a venture of his own. He founded David Slack Insurance Brokers Ltd. in 2012 and is committed to using his years of experience to provide sound advice to his clientele.

Fil is the newest member of our team, joining us in September 2021. He started working in the industry in 1994, and spent the early years of his career working alongside David. After going their separate ways, Fil is excited to be working with David again. Fil will apply his years of experience to help guide our clients through the important decisions in purchasing insurance coverage.

Kathryn graduated from the University of Western Ontario in April 2019 and decided to join the family business. She recently completed her Chartered Insurance Professional designation. In addition to handling the everyday needs of our clients, Kathryn also manages our key accounts.

Sandra has been on our team since the beginning of her career in the industry 9 years ago. As one of our Personal Accounts Managers, she will review your policy each year on renewal to ensure you are properly covered. She also provides quality customer service throughout your policy term should you need advice or to make any changes to your policy.

Debbie keeps everything running smoothly in the office - from business accounting to team management. She brings with her 25+ years of real estate experience as well as an extensive background in reinsurance. With her understanding of homes and their mechanics she is able to anticipate the questions and concerns home buyers may have when looking for insurance.
